"New Orleans" by the Treme Brass Band (ft. Orlando Gilbert)

The Treme Brass Band has been around for over 40 years and has played with some of the biggest names in jazz, it was an honor to be able to play with them and my father.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a recent experience that I had, playing music on the streets of the French Quarter in New Orleans. It was a beautiful day and the energy in the air was electric.

I was fortunate enough to be able to sit in with the Treme Brass Band, one of the most iconic and respected brass bands in the city. We set up on the side of the street, and let me tell you, there's something special about playing music outdoors and feeling the energy of the people and the city around you.

But the real highlight of the performance for me was when my father, John Gilbert, joined us on tenor sax. He's a respected musician in the jazz community and it was an honor to be able to play alongside him. We performed the tune "New Orleans" and it was a real special moment, not just because of the music, but because of the setting and the company.

It was one of those moments that I'll always treasure, playing music with my dad in the streets of the city we both call home. The Treme Brass Band has been around for over 40 years and has played with some of the biggest names in jazz, it was an honor to be able to play with them and my father.

If you ever get a chance to catch the Treme Brass Band playing in the streets of the French Quarter, take it. It's a real New Orleans experience.
